Prickly Plants was founded in 2019 by Cork School of Music student Vivienne. In her second year of university, Vivienne, 21, used the downtime of lockdown to launch the online houseplant company Prickly Plants, which quickly expanded into a standalone retail location in Little Island.

'It all started in my little glass house in North Cork,' says Viv. 'I consider myself extremely lucky to have spent my entire life on a farm, surrounded by plants and wildlife. I understood during the lockdown that I wanted to help people to enjoy the tranquillity that nature can bring us inside our homes. There came Prickly Plants."
